Yip Man

(Chinese 葉問 / 叶问, Pinyin Yè Wèn, Jyutping Jip Man , Yale Yip Man, alternative transcription Ip Man, originally 葉繼問 / 叶继问, Yè Jìwèn, Jyutping Jip Gai man , Cantonese Yip Kai Man; * October 1, 1893 in Foshan, China; † December 2, 1972 in Hong Kong) was posthumously honored as "Grand Master" of the southern Chinese martial art Wing Chun. Many variants of this martial art are based on his teachings today.

Wong Shun Leung 

(Chinesisch: Huang Chunliang; pinyin: Huang Chun Liáng;

(June 8, 1935 – January 28, 1997) was a martial artist from Hong Kong who studied Wing Chun Kung Fu under Yip Man (葉問) and was entrusted with training Bruce Lee.

He was considered the best representative of the Yip Man era.

Deeply impressive, unforgettable. A teacher of the old school.

Volker Boekhoff


In 1986, the already legendary Grandmaster Wong Shun Leung appointed him Junior Instructor of the Wong Shun Leung Martial Art Association, Hong Kong and gave him his name: `Gentleman-Fighter´

Volker Boekhoff founded his own association in 1992, which was personally confirmed by Wong Shun Leung:

`VB - VING TSUN KUNG FU MARTIAL ART SOCIETY´

and has trained over 3000 students to date. Many trainers and teachers have emerged from this small school in Leer / East Frisia to an international level.
